Ancient Hawaiian life revolved around religion and Gods.
Legend has it that Na Wahine, the hawaiian female diety, and Kane, the male force of creation, mated and produced
three sons, one of whom was Ku (kukailikimoku). Although often touted as the God of war, Ku also reigned over crops
and woodlands, and was worshipped by crafters, in various forms. He was representative of men or the masculine force.
Ku is considered one of the four main Gods and , as such, he required his own temple and sacrifices.
